A Picture Of You
If I were to paint a masterpiece
I could never make it as beautiful as you
So I would paint it with different colours
Impalpable, energizing and new.
With two stars, I'd paint your eyes
As bright as they could be
With that shine only your eyes have
So they’d be gazing only at me.
Nuances of yellow sunlight
To paint your golden curls.
And with a brush tinged of ebony black
I’d paint those lashes curled.
Your skin with tones of peaches
Just as juicy and as soft.
A blush of rose, on your cheeks
Making them plumper, smooth and glossed.
But last of all I’d paint those lips of yours
With shades I cannot describe.
For as I drool at that delicate bow of crimson pink
I get so lost in longing and desire.
