Wild Velvet Rose
Unseen in the forest, like the wild yellow velvet rose
she goes into hiding where no-one ever goes
the heavy burden she carries, she needs to hide
for she can no longer keep the hurting inside.
Her love left her thirsty, desperate and crying,
devastated, alone and almost dying
he didn’t care for her or try to understand
he no longer kissed her or held her hand.
In a land of wild creatures, monsters and flowers
where night and day mingle till the darkest hours
So sad and scared she needs to run and escape.
her heart beats of solitude, loneliness and heartache.
She wanders into the deepest of all the dark woods
to forget her love, he was so tender and good
Time and a reason to heal she must be able to find
or she shall die like the velvet rose
...leaving everything behind.
